Yankees not starting Gary Sanchez behind the plate versus Oakland
New York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez is not starting in Friday's matchup with the Oakland Athletics.
What It Means:
Austin Romine will be on squatting duties in place of Sanchez, who appears to just be receiving the day off. Romine will bat ninth versus left-hander Sean Manaea and the Athletics.
Sanchez is hitting .266/.356/.430 with four home runs and 11 RBI's in 21 games (90 plate appearances) this season.
