Nationals' manager confirms that Koda Glover is the team's closer
Washington Nationals manager Dusty Baker confirmed on Wednesday night that Koda Glover is the team's closing pitcher.
Baker said he was working Glover into the role slowly, but he made the move official last night after Glover turned in a perfect ninth inning in the Nationals' win over the Seattle Mariners.
Glover has a 2.57 ERA, 3.38 SIERA, 20.0 percent strikeout rate, 3.6 percent walk rate and 1.00 WHIP through 16 games (14 innings pitched) in 2017.
