Padres pull Manuel Margot early with lower leg tightness
San Diego Padres outfielder Manuel Margot left Wednesday's game against the New York Mets due to right lower leg tightness.
Margot was replaced in center field by Matt Szczur to start the bottom of the third inning. It is unclear the extent of the injury, but it appears it occurred while running out a groundball in the top of the third. He finished the day 0-for-2. Consider him day-to-day until the Padres say otherwise.
After an excellent start to the season, Margot is batting just .156 with a .401 OPS and nine strikeouts in his last 33 plate appearances.
