Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Yasmani Grandal is batting third on Tuesday versus the St. Louis Cardinals.
What It Means:
Grandal has spent the majority of the season batting fifth or lower, but with regular three-hole hitter Justin Turner on the DL, the Dodgers are trying something new. Cody Bellinger will hit cleanup while Logan Forsythe returns from the DL as the leadoff hitter versus Lance Lynn and the Cardinals.
Grandal is slashing .299/.362/.496 with a .367 wOBA in 142 plate appearances.
