Derek Holland makes it easy for White Sox on Sunday
Chicago White Sox pitcher Derek Holland allowed only one run over eight innings in an 8-1 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Sunday.
Holland allowed six hits while striking out six and walking two in what was his longest outing of the season. The 30-year-old left-hander will carry a 4-3 record into a home matchup with the Detroit Tigers when he next toes the rubber.
For the season, Holland owns a 2.47 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 19.4 strikeout percentage in 54 2/3 innings.
