Royals to place Alex Gordon on paternity list
Kansas City Royals outfielder Alex Gordon will be placed on the paternity following Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader versus the Minnesota Twins on Sunday.
Gordon will be away for three days with Raul Mondesi taking his place on the roster and Jorge Bonifacio figuring to see extra playing time during Gordon's absence.
Gordon is struggling mightily so far, batting .170 with a .236 wOBA in 156 plate appearances. He has zero home runs and 10 runs scored.
