Miguel Cabrera (oblique) won't play in Tigers' series finale with Baltimore

Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera (oblique) is absent from Thursday's starting lineup versus the Baltimore Orioles.

What It Means:

Cabrera was diagnosed with a Grade 1 oblique strain on Wednesday. Manager Brad Ausmus doesn't expect his veteran slugger to be out for more than 2-3 days. Andrew Romine is starting at first base and batting eighth on Thursday for Detroit as they take on right-hander Dylan Bundy and the Orioles.

Cabrera is hitting just .248 in 120 plate appearances this season with four home runs and 15 RBI's.
