Royals eyeing a Saturday return for Ian Kennedy (hamstring)
The Kansas City Royals are hoping starting pitcher Ian Kennedy (hamstring) will be ready to return to the rotation on Saturday.
Kennedy has been on the disabled list since May 5 with the hamstring strain, but if he makes it through a bullpen session on Wednesday without any issues, the veteran will return to the rotation versus the Minnesota Twins on Saturday.
Through six starts and 35 2/3 innings pitched this season, Kennedy owns a 0-3 record with a 4.50 SIERA and 10.6 percent walk rate.
