Mariners' Felix Hernandez (shoulder) suffers setback
Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Felix Hernandez (shoulder) will back off his throwing program after feeling soreness when playing catch twice this week.
It's unclear how big of a setback Hernandez is facing, but it's probably fair to assume that he won't be back in the Mariners' rotation by the end of the month as was originally hoped.
While Hernandez's 4.73 ERA and 1.58 WHIP through five starts are really shaky, he does own an encouraging 3.34 SIERA. His 25.6 percent hard-hit rate is also down from last season (28.7 percent) and is an improvement on his career average (26.9 percent).
