Ryan Braun (calf) lands on Brewers' disabled list

Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun was placed on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to May 11, with a left calf strain.

What It Means:

A timetable doesn't currently exist for how long Braun may be out. In addition to his strained calf, he's also bothered by a flexor strain in his right arm. Hernan Perez projects to cover most of the void in left field with Braun sidelined. Nick Franklin and Eric Thames could also spend some time in left. When Thames is in the outfield, Jesus Aguilar will cover things at first base.

Braun owns a .287/374/.574 slash and a .400 wOBA with seven home runs, 18 RBI's and four stolen bases in 107 plate appearances (27 games) this season.
