Adrian Beltre (calf) took part in Rangers' batting practice on Thursday
Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre (calf) took part in batting practice for the first time in three weeks on Thursday.
Thursday's session was Beltre's first time taking live pitches since re-aggravating his calf injury that he first sustained during spring training. The 38-year-old has already been taking grounders at third base but has not been cleared for running drills yet, leaving him without a timetable for a return. Joey Gallo will continue to man the hot corner in his absence.
numberFire's models project Beltre to hit .292 with 12 home runs and 45 RBI's in 309 plate appearances the rest of the season.
