Andrew Toles

Dodgers' Andrew Toles likely done for year with torn ACL

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Andrew Toles suffered a torn ACL, an MRI revealed.

What It Means:

Toles will go under the knife in two weeks, likely ending his 2017 campaign after 31 contests. With the youngster no longer available, Kike Hernandez and Austin Barnes could both see more work. The Dodgers may also elect to acquire someone in a trade. Chase Utley is filling in at first base on Wednesday, but that's just a short-term fix.

Toles hit for a .271/.314/.458 slash with a .333 wOBA through 102 plate appearances this season. He added five home runs and 15 RBI's while dropping his strikeout rate to 15.7 percent, down from 21.7 percent last year.
