Braves acquire Danny Santana from Twins
The Atlanta Braves acquired shortstop/outfielder Danny Santana from the Minnesota Twins in exchange for pitcher Kevin Chapman and cash considerations.
The Twins designated Santana for assignment last week after a slow start to the season. He gets to try and start fresh in Atlanta where he will serve in a super-utility role. Santana is three years removed from his best season, which came in 2014 as a rookie when he batted .319 with 20 stolen bases.
Santana owns a .225 batting average with just three home runs and 21 steals in 551 plate appearances since 2015.
