David Price (elbow) on track to return to Boston rotation in late May

Boston Red Sox starting pitcher David Price (elbow) threw a three-inning simulated game on Thursday, and is on track to return to the rotation by the end of May.

What It Means:

Price consistently reached 93-95 mph on his fastball and told reporters he felt good after the performance. He is scheduled for three more simulated games, with the final one going six innings. If Price still feels good, he will make his season debut for the Red Sox somewhere around Memorial Day.

numberFire's algorithms project Price for a 4.55 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 96 strikeouts in 118 2/3 innings pitched this season.
