Anthony Rendon goes berzerk in Nats' rout of the Mets on Sunday
Washington Nationals infielder Anthony Rendon went 6-for-6 with three homers and 10 RBI's as Washington destroyed the New York Mets 23-5 on Sunday.
While the Nationals were destroying the Rockies earlier in the week, Rendon was relatively quiet. Not the case on Sunday. The second baseman became the first MLB player to record 10 RBI's in a game since 2007 and is only the third player in league history to record double-digit RBI's to go along with six hits. Rendon hit his first homers of the year, boosted his batting average 57 points, and tripled his yearly RBI total with the monster game.
Rendon is batting .278 with 3 home runs, 15 RBI's and 10 runs scored in 101 plate appearances this season.
