Jose Peraza out of the Reds lineup on Friday
Cincinnati Reds second baseman Jose Peraza is out of the lineup Friday versus the St. Louis Cardinals.
Peraza is getting a routine day of rest, but the real news is that when he returns to the lineup on Saturday, he will no longer be the Reds' number two hitter. Zach Cozart is batting second on Friday is going to stick there for the time being. Peraza will get bumped down to the bottom half of the lineup, obviously hurting his run scoring potential.
Peraza is hitting just .227 with a .234 wOBA in 92 plate appearances this season.
