Orioles to activate Zach Britton (forearm) either Sunday or Tuesday

The Baltimore Orioles are plannings on activating relief pitcher Zach Britton from the 10-day disabled list either Sunday or Tuesday.

What It Means:

Britton is currently at Double-A Bowie on a rehab assignment and is scheduled to make an appearance on Friday. If that goes well, the Orioles will bring him back to the big leagues on Sunday. If he needs another rehab appearance, they will delay the move until Tuesday. Brad Brach has been filling in at closer and will return to his setup role when Britton returns.

Our algorithms project Britton for 34 saves with a 2.14 ERA, 0.85 WHIP, and 68 punchouts over 63 1/3 innings the rest of the season.
