Kendrys Morales not starting first game of Blue Jays' doubleheader
Toronto Blue Jays designated hitter/first baseman Kendrys Morales is out of the Blue Jays' lineup for the first game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Cardinals.
For Thursday's matinée, Toronto will start Justin Smoak at first and hit him fourth against right-hander Carlos Martinez and the Cardinals. Morales is expected to start at first base for the night tip while St. Louis sends righty Adam Wainwright to the mound.
Morales owns a .225/.287/.363 slash and .287 wOBA across 87 plate appearances this season while recording three home runs and 11 RBI's in 20 games.
