Rangers hoping night off will do Nomar Mazara well
Texas Rangers outfielder Nomar Mazara is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Minnesota Twins.
Mazara has gone hitless in eight of his last nine games, a span in which he's gone 2-for-31 overall. To be fair, he was probably due for a night off anyway after starting the first 21 games of the season for Texas. Shin-Soo Choo will man right field and hit eighth against left-hander Hector Santiago and the Twins on Wednesday night.
Mazara is slashing .247/.297/.424 in his second year in the majors while recording four home runs and 17 RBI's across 91 plate appearances.
