Miguel Cabrera undergoes MRI and will miss Detroit's next two games
Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera underwent an MRI on his injured groin on Saturday.
The team is waiting to see whether Cabrera needs a trip to the disabled list, but for now they are holding him out of the weekend series regardless of the MRI results. Alex Avila could see some starts at first base on Saturday and/or Sunday.
If he doesn't need a trip to the disabled list, out models project Cabrera for a .320 average with 29 homers and 98 RBI's over 582 plate appearances remaining this season.
