Brewers giving Ryan Braun a breather versus Cubs
Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun will get the day off Wednesday versus the Chicago Cubs.
It's a standard maintenance day for the 33-year-old veteran. Nick Franklin is starting in left field and hitting fifth against right-hander Kyle Hendricks for Wednesday's matinée with the defending World Series champs.
Braun is slashing .306/.414/.653 with five home runs, 11 RBI's and four stolen bases across 58 plate appearances in 14 games this season.
