Shawn Kelley, Blake Treinen, Koda Glover competing for Nationals' closer
Washington Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo told Fantasy Sports Radio on Monday that relievers Shawn Kelley, Blake Treinen and Koda Glover are all in competition to be the team's closer.
Rizzo added that he isn't planning on looking for outside help, so one of the mentioned three should wind up with the gig. The 32-year-old Kelley is the likely leader in the clubhouse after recording a career-best 2.82 xFIP last season.
Kelley turned in an impressive 2.64 ERA, 0.897 WHIP and career-high 35.7 strikeout percentage across 58 innings for the Nationals in 2016.
