Blue Jays agree to three-year deal with Kendrys Morales
Christopher Meola reports that the Blue Jays have signed Kendrys Morales to a three-year, $33 million contract.
This has been confirmed by Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports and FanRag Sports' Jon Heyman. The addition means re-signing Edwin Encarnacion "seem[s] less likely" now for Toronto, according to Heyman. Morales turns 34 in June and should provide a steady bat for the Blue Jays' offense.
Morales slashed .263/.327/.468 with 30 home runs and 93 RBI's over 618 plate appearances for the Kansas City Royals last season.
