Indians will start Trevor Bauer in Game 5

Cleveland Indians manager Terry Francona announced Friday that starting pitcher Trevor Bauer will start Game 5 of the World Series against the Chicago Cubs.

What It Means:

Corey Kluber will work on short rest in Game 4, while Bauer will get the ball in Game 5. He has not been sharp in the postseason, lasting only 3.2 innings in Game 2. Danny Salazar should be available in long relief if Bauer struggles, as should most of the Tribe bullpen in a crucial Game 5.

In 9.0 postseason innings, Bauer has a 5.00 ERA and he's walked four batters in his last 4 1/3 innings in the playoffs.
