Indians' Trevor Bauer (finger) on track to take mound Game 2
Cleveland Indians pitcher Trevor Bauer (finger) is on schedule to start Game 2 of the World Series against the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday night in Cleveland, manager Terry Francona said.
Bauer was pulled from his Game 3 start in the American League Championship Series after just two-thirds of an inning due to stitches in his right pinky coming undone. He threw to hitters on Monday without any issues. The injury occurred a little under two weeks ago while Bauer was cleaning his drone. It's a lingering concern, but he's expected to toe the rubber in Game 2 for Cleveland.
Kluber owns a 0.98 ERA in his three starts this postseason (18 1/3 innings). Our models have Cleveland as underdogs for the World Series, giving them only a 35.6 percent chance of upsetting the Cubs.
