Jason Heyward out Game 1, Chris Coghlan in for Cubs
Chicago Cubs outfielder Jason Heyward is out of the starting lineup for Game 1 of the World Series against the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday.
Chris Coghlan will replace Heyward against right-hander Corey Kluber. The Cubs are going with this front in Game 1: Dexter Fowler CF, Kris Bryant 3B, Anthony Rizzo 1B, Ben Zobrist LF, Schwarber DH, Javier Baez 2B, Coghlan RF, Addison Russell SS, David Ross C. Jon Lester is on the mound.
Heyward owns a .071/.133/.179 slash in 30 appearances this postseason, managing just two hits while striking out eight times. Coghlan is hitless in five plate appearances of his own.
