Joey Votto (chin) back in action Friday for Reds
Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto (chin) is back in the lineup Friday against the Chicago Cubs.
Votto took an errant outfield throw to the chin while sliding into second on Thursday, causing him to exit early. He's good to go Friday night and will start at first base while hitting third against Cubs right-hander Jake Buchanan.
Votto is slashing .324/.435/.545 with 92 RBI's and 99 runs to go with his 28 dingers this season. His .412 wOBA on the year ranks him third among all qualified hitters.
