Starling Marte (back) still out of action for Pirates
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Starling Marte (back) is being held out of the lineup again as the Pirates face the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday.
Marte has been dealing with tightness and spasms in his back for the majority of the month and he admitted on Tuesday that he doesn't know whether or not he'll be able to start another game this season. Josh Bell is batting second for Pittsburgh and hitting second on Wednesday against the Cubs.
Marte is having a fairly strong year from the dish, slashing .311/.362/.457 through 528 plate appearances. His .351 wOBA is the second-best mark of his career.
