Eduardo Nunez (hamstring) out Tuesday night for Giants
San Francisco Giants infielder Eduardo Nunez (hamstring) is out of the starting lineup on Tuesday night.
Nunez suffered the injury to his right hamstring on a slide in Sunday's series finale against the San Diego Padres. He was scheduled for an MRI at the beginning of the week. Conor Gillaspie will fill in at third base and hit eighth for San Francisco against the Colorado Rockies and right-hander German Marquez on Tuesday.
Nunez is slashing .288/.325/.432 through 595 plate appearances for both the Giants and Minnesota Twins, with a .323 wOBA and .145 ISO. He's added 16 home runs and 67 RBI's with 40 stolen bases.
