Astros' Alex Bregman (hamstring) not ruled out from return
Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman (hamstring) hasn't been ruled out from returning next week, according to manager A.J. Hinch.
The previous expectation was that Bregman would be held out unless the Astros made a deep playoff run, but he successfully made it through a full workout Monday. He's been sidelined since September 14 with a hamstring strain.
Bregman has flashed some promise through 212 plate appearances as a rookie, slashing .260/.311/.480 with a .335 wOBA on a 32.9 percent hard-hit rate.
