Sonny Gray will start for Athletics on Wednesday
Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Sonny Gray (forearm) will start on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Angels.
Gray has been out since August with right forearm inflammation, and even when he has been healthy, his numbers have not been good. He is expected to pitch only one or two innings in his first game back.
Gray owns an ugly 5.74 ERA and a career-worst 4.13 xFIP this season over 116 innings. His SIERA of 4.31 is also a career-worst mark and both of his above advanced stats have been trending upward every year he has been in the majors.
