Ryan Braun (wife having son) excused from Brewers
Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun has been excused from the Brewers with his wife Larisa going into child labor.
What It Means:
Mrs. Braun is expected to give birth to their second child within the next couple days. Jake Elmore is starting in left for the Brewers and will hit sixth versus the Pittsburgh Pirates and left-hander Steven Brault.
Braun is slashing .308/.371/.550 in his age-32 season, adding 30 home runs and 88 RBI's across 531 plate appearances.
