Hunter Strickland blows save as Giants fall to Dodgers
San Francisco Giants relief pitcher Hunter Strickland picked up a blown save on Monday -- his fifth of the year -- as the Giants lost 2-1 to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Strickland entered the game with no outs and runners on first and third in the bottom of the ninth, and allowed an RBI single followed by a game-winning RBI double by the two batters he faced.
Strickland's numbers have fallen off a bit following his strong 2015 season, but he has still managed a decent year, with a 3.24 ERA and 3.59 SIERA through 58 1/3 innings pitched.
