Jon Jay activated from Padres' 60-day disabled list
The San Diego Padres activated outfielder Jon Jay from the 60-day disabled list.
After being sidelined since June 19 with a fractured right forearm, Jay is finally ready to return to the Padres. The 31 year-old was having a solid year before the injury -- slashing .296/.345/.407 in 290 plate appearances -- but it's likely that Jay will have a diminished role over the rest of the season.
Jay posted a .328 wOBA and a .111 ISO this year, which are both above his career averages. We currently project him to hit .250 with a .607 OPS over the remaining course of the season.
