Dansby Swanson getting day off, Atlanta matching up with Phillies
Atlanta Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson is absent from the starting lineup Friday against the Philadelphia Phillies.
This is a simple day off for the 22 year-old. Gordon Beckham -- and his .294 wOBA this season -- will fill in for Swanson at shortstop on Friday.
Swanson now has 13 big league games under his belt during his rookie season and is slashing .255/.294/.298 with a .244 wOBA in 51 plate appearances. We project him to hit .250 with just a .558 OPS over the rest of the season.
