CC Sabathia deals seven innings of one-run ball as Yankees down Seattle
New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia dealt seven innings of one-run ball, allowing only three hits as the Yankees beat the Seattle Mariners 5-1 on Tuesday.
It was Sabathia's first time giving up fewer than two runs in a start since June 16, and he had a solid seven strikeouts on the night.
It has been a rough year for Sabathia, and he is sporting a 4.33 ERA with a 4.44 SIERA and 8.7 percent walk rate that are both his worst marks since 2004.
