Nationals' Daniel Murphy getting night off versus Atlanta
Washington Nationals second baseman Daniel Murphy is absent from the starting lineup Friday against the Atlanta Braves.
This is just a routine day off for Murphy. Trea Turner will move to second base on Friday, while Clint Robinson -- and his .280 wOBA this season -- will start at first base.
Murphy is having the best season of his career, slashing .344/.386/.604 with a career high 22 home runs and 4.5 fWAR, to go with a .410 wOBA that ranks fourth-best, in 466 plate appearances. We project him to hit six more taters and post an .838 OPS over the rest of the year.
