Buster Posey (back) out of Giants' lineup on Monday
San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey (back) is out of the lineup again on Monday against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Posey was a late scratch Sunday due to lower back tightness. He tried to test his back by running on Monday, but isn't quite ready to return to the lineup. Consider him day-to-day for now. Trevor Brown will start behind the plate again.
Posey is having another solid season, slashing .288/.368/.454 with 12 home runs and a .352 wOBA in 435 plate appearances. We project him to hit four homers and post an .813 OPS in 167 more appearances at the plate over the remaining course of the season.
