Zack Greinke turns in winning effort for Diamondbacks in return

Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Zack Greinke struck out six over six innings as he picked up a win over the New York Mets on Tuesday.

What It Means:

Greinke hadn't made a major league start since June 28 due to an oblique injury, but he looked pretty solid in his return, allowing three runs on five hits with one walk and six strikeouts.

While he hasn't matched his incredible production from the past couple of seasons, Greinke has still had a solid year, posting a 3.67 ERA, 3.83 SIERA and 20.55 percent strikeout rate across 115 1/3 innings (18 starts). He is 11-3 with a 2.00 nERD.
