Giants' Buster Posey getting the night off
San Francisco Giants catcher/first baseman Buster Posey is getting the night off Tuesday against the Miami Marlins.
The Giants and Marlins played 14 innings on Monday and Posey caught the whole game. It also looks like he might have injured his finger sliding into third base, but his absence on Tuesday appears to be about getting rest more than anything. Trevor Brown -- and his .312 wOBA this season -- will start behind the plate and hit eighth.
Posey is having another solid season, slashing .291/.365/.461 with 12 home runs and a .351 wOBA in 422 plate appearances. We project him to hit four taters and post an .808 OPS over the remaining course of the season.
