Jung Ho Kang not in Friday's lineup for Pirates
Pittsburgh Pirates infielder Jung Ho Kang is not in the starting lineup Friday against the Cincinnati Reds.
What It Means:
This is a simple day off for Kang, and David Freese -- and his .350 wOBA this season -- will start at third base in his place. Andrew McCutchen is back in the lineup and hitting third after receiving a few games off for a mental break.
Kang is slashing .233/.306/.457 with 11 home runs and a .327 wOBA in 235 plate appearances this season. We project him to hit .248/.306/.425 with four taters and a .309 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
