Jon Lester punches out seven over six shutout frames, Cubs roll
Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Jon Lester was dominant in Friday's victory over the Seattle Mariners, racking up seven strikeouts over six shutout innings.
Lester conceded four hits and two walks in the outing. Next up for the veteran southpaw is a matchup with the Miami Marlins on Wednesday.
Lester continues to shine for the Cubs this season, twirling a 2.95 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 24.18 strikeout percentage across 128 1/3 innings of work. He is now 11-4 in 21 starts.
