Dillon Overton to start for Athletics on Saturday
Oakland Athletics pitcher Dillon Overton will start against the Cleveland Indians on Saturday.
Overton has made three spot starts for the A's this season. His most recent turn was a mediocre no-decision against the Houston Astros on July 19, in which he allowed three runs in 6 1/3 innings.
Overall, Overton has pitched an uncomfortable 15 innings with a bloated 8.40 ERA (5.76 SIERA), and a pitiful 13.70 strikeout rate and 6.85 walk rate. He's given up a ton of longballs, too, with an 18.75 percent home run-to-flyball rate and has induced just a 10.30 percent soft contact rate.
