Yankees would get four players from Cubs in Aroldis Chapman trade
The New York Yankees will get four players from the Chicago Cubs in the yet-to-be-finalized trade for pitcher Aroldis Chapman, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post.
Gleyber Torres, the Cubs top shortstop prospect, is the centerpiece of the trade. However, Sherman says the Yankees are also getting Adam Warren back from Chicago, who was traded to the Cubs last winter in the Starlin Castro trade. The other two prospects have not been revealed yet, but Hal Steinbrenner has reportedly signed off on the trade, so it's unclear what the delay is.
Chapman has a 2.22 SIERA and 36.67 percent strikeout rate on the year, both slightly below his career averages, but is also sporting a career-low 7.30 percent walk rate and has a 1.28 nERD.
