Indians promote top prospect Bradley Zimmer to Triple-A
The Cleveland Indians have promoted top outfield prospect Bradley Zimmer from Double-A Akron to Triple-A Columbus.
Zimmer was the Indians' first round selection back in 2014 and he has been destroying Double-A pitching so far this season. He strikes out a lot but other than that his statistics are pretty impressive for the 23 year-old. Clint Frazier, another outfield prospect, is joining Zimmer in Columbus.
Zimmer was slashing .252/.370/.472 with 14 home runs, 53 RBI's, 31 stolen bases, and 57 runs scored through 403 plate appearances this season at the Double-A level. He owns a 28.3 strikeout rate, but he still has an impressive .381 wOBA during his time in Double-A this year.
