Tyler Skaggs will make his Angels season debut Tuesday

Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs will make his season debut on Tuesday against the Kansas City Royals.

What It Means:

Skaggs was on his way back from Tommy John surgery before going through a shoulder issue earlier this season. He has not pitched in the majors since 2014, but he has been very good in Triple-A this season both before and after he went down with his shoulder injury.

In 32 1/3 minor league innings this season, Skaggs has a nice 1.67 ERA and 36.30 strikeout rate. In his last major league season he logged 113 innings and a put up a 4.30 ERA. He also posted a 18.50 strikeout rate and a 3.65 xFIP in 2014.
