Jason Bourgeois to lead off for the Reds
Reds manager, Bryan Brice, has Jason Bourgeois (R) slated to play left field and bat lead off tonight against the Cardinals in St. Louis. It appears outfielder Marlon Byrd will get a simple day of rest.
In 16 at bats on the season, Bourgeois has just six hits and four strike outs while posting a nERD of -0.29. He'll face Cardinals lefty, Jaime Garcia, who is 3-3 on the year brandishing a 1.69 ERA and a 2.93 xFIP. All six of Bourgeois' hits this year (.273) have come off of lefties so he could be an underrated option for tonight.
