Rays' Curt Casali suffers head injury versus Angels

Tampa Bay Rays catcher Curt Casali was lifted from Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Angels due to a contusion on the left side of his head.

What It Means:

Casali took a back-swing to the head while behind the plate on Wednesday, and there's a chance he winds up in the concussion protocol. Hank Conger replaced him in the seventh inning. We're currently considering Casali day-to-day.

Casali has posted a .253 wOBA with six home runs and 18 RBI's in 180 plate appearances this season.
