Indians keep rolling with Carlos Santana bomb in 19th
Cleveland Indians first baseman Carlos Santana blasted a solo home run in the top half of the 19th inning on Friday, powering his club to a 2-1 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays, their franchise-record 14th consecutive victory.
The blast came with infielder Darwin Barney on the mound for Toronto, the second infielder called upon to toe the rubber for the Blue Jays in Friday's marathon outing. Santana finished 2-for-8 from the plate with a double, a walk and both of the Indians' runs.
Santana is now hitting .237/.335/.464 with a .343 wOBA in 343 plate appearances this season. He has 17 home runs, 43 RBI's and four stolen bags.
