Rockies battling Dodgers without Trevor Story
Colorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story will not be in the lineup Friday against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Story has been dealing with a finger injury lately, but it's unclear whether his unavailability is due to that, or if manager Walt Weiss opted to give him an extra day of recovery. Cristhian Adames will be starting at shortstop and batting second, while Bud Norris takes the mound for the Dodgers.
Story has slowed from his red-hot start, but his season-long numbers remain great. He's sporting a .373 wOBA with 19 long balls, 50 RBI's and five steals in 324 plate appearances. Our rest-of-season projections peg him to post a .326 wOBA with 11 more jacks, 40 RBI's and another four steals, making him a potential sell-high option. His 2.08 nERD currently ranks 37th in the big leagues.
